Emma Performance 28 Mattress

The Emma Performance Mattress comes with a 200-night home trial. If it's not right for you, Emma arranges free collection and a full refund, no questions asked. The 10-year manufacturer's warranty covers material defects in the pocket spring core, foam layers and the new Emma AirGrid Tech layer against sagging or deformation under normal use.

The height determines your DeepCalm Comfort™ level: taller means a plusher, more enveloping feel and support. The Performance 26 delivers balanced cushioning and support, suited to all sleeping positions. The Performance 28 adds more contouring depth for side sleepers and those who prefer a deeper sink-in feel. The Performance 30 is the maximum comfort option, best for side sleepers with broader shoulders or anyone who wants the deepest cushioning and pressure relief available.

All three share the same layer structure: improved Emma AirGrid Tech, dual MemoryAdapt layers and zoned pocket springs. What changes with each height is the thickness of both the firmer MemoryAdapt layer and the SupportBase layer: 2 cm and 5 cm in the Performance 26, 3.5 cm and 5.5 cm in the 28, and 4.5 cm and 6.5 cm in the 30. The thicker these layers, the more deeply comfort activates under your body weight, creating a progressively more cradled sensation.

The improved Emma AirGrid Tech in the Performance Mattress is a flexible open grid where each cell responds uniformly to your body. It instantly relieves pressure points, boosts airflow to keep you cool and springs back the moment you move. Unlike standard foam layers, the open grid structure allows continuous air circulation, giving you a weightless, cradled sensation with less resistance than foam.

Yes. The improved Emma AirGrid Tech's open structure, breathable core and cool-to-touch cover work together to move air through the mattress rather than trapping heat. In testing, the Performance 26 showed a 72% higher capacity to level out temperature spikes than a full foam mattress², helping create a consistently balanced sleep climate. This passive cooling system works all night without any active components.

The Performance Mattress cover comes in two parts. The top cover is fully removable and machine washable at 40°C. Do not tumble dry, bleach, iron or wet clean. The bottom cover is not machine washable and should be dry cleaned gently only. The mattress is single-sided; do not flip it. Regular 180° rotation is recommended to ensure even wear.

Yes. The Performance Mattress works with slatted frames with slat spacing no wider than 7 cm, box springs, platform beds and the floor. Due to its significant weight, check that your bed frame can support the mattress before installation. The mattress is single-sided and should not be flipped. Give it 24 hours to fully expand after delivery, and air the room for up to 72 hours to clear the new scent that is normal with any new mattress.
